Christmas Tree in Heaven

With streets of gold and the jewels,
encrusted on God’s throne,
And the light that surrounds our Jesus,
in His heavenly home,
No Christmas trees are needed,
to glimmer and softly glow.
Add all the angels made by God,
much whiter than earthly snow,
Then you’ll have beauty so glorious,
it cannot be compared,
To anything here on this earth,
that a mortal has prepared.
Christmas carols are lovely and pleasing,
with man’s written word,
But harps played by the angels,
give melodies we’ve never heard,
As they softly strum the music,
brought forth with their finger tips,
Along with songs praising God,
through their perfectly formed lips.
Would make a Christmas tree,
look out of place among such glory,
And all the gifts beneath it could not,
come close to a Bible story.
In heaven’s mansion of many rooms,
where would a tree be placed?
Each of those rooms are already shining,
with God’s holy grace.
Here on earth we give Special gifts,
to celebrate in our own way,
But in heaven gifts of love are given,
by our Lord, each and every day.
