Someone once told me that they never listened to anything but classical music and I thought that was so sad. Just think of not having the pleasure of listening to the smooth, wonderful voices of people like John Denver, John Gary, Kate Smith, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, etc. or the wonderful country music - our history - in the songs of Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams and so many others or the protest songs of Bob Dylan, and Joan Baez or the gospel music of the great Mahalia Jackson, Lynda Randle, Della Reese. And who can forget the fun ones like Purple People Eater, Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini?
