The red kangaroo is the largest of all kangaroos, but
they aren't always red! Males stand between 5½ and 6 ½
feet in height and weigh up to 180 lbs. They can jump 6-8
feet high and cover 12-14 feet distance per leap. They can
travel up 30mph in short bursts of speed.
Like all kangaroos, they are timid and will flee rather
than fight when presented with danger. They only "box"
when it comes to breeding rights.
