These are some blooms of the camellia which is at the front right
corner of the house. The poor thing usually gets frost bitten
because of the summer-like weather for a few days and then a sudden
change back to winter-like weather. What happened to the real spring
weather we used to have when I was a kid?
These are some dahlias, some of which are commonly called "dinner
plate" dahlias because of their size. The dahlia was one of my
daddy's favorites and could he ever grow them - high as your head
and loaded with blooms. The only bad thing about them is that his
dahlia bed was a favorite hangout for the writing spider - you know
those big black ones with the yellow on the back and the white
"writing" in the web.
This is the wygelia on the front bank. This is my nephew Joey's plant.
