Oh, Unicorn with gauzy wings
And golden horn as your crown,
Come to me this starlit night
With magic flowing all around.
Take me away from this place
And show to me your secret world,
Where fairies dance with leprechauns
Waving veils, all unfurled.
Fill my dreams with tinkling laughter
While we are in flight.
Show me all your wonders hidden
In your secret world this night.
Fly high above the yellow moon
Where stars are sparkling so.
Let me ride upon your back
And tell me tales of long ago.
Find a midnight rainbow
And slide down its colored arc.
You can do all this I know,
In this magic, velvet dark.
Oh, Unicorn let me ride the sky
And let me truly feel,
That in all the stories I have read,
You to me are very real.
Then when the morning comes
With bright and warming sun,
I can weave a tale of all the things
That we have seen and done.
Oh, Unicorn, take me away
And let me touch your golden horn,
So stories can be told in future
To children waiting yet unborn.
