Lord, Have You Saved A Place For Me
I’ve been told I may not have much time left
to prepare and pray.
Lord, may I talk to You and ask,
"Have You saved a place for me today?
Am I worthy of Your grace and love?
Have I done all I could do,
To earn a place come judgement day
to stand somewhere near You?"
I need You to tell me
what Your plans are for me before I go.
I want to leave with peace my place on earth;
so please let me know.
As You know I don’t come to You
in my final earthly hour.
For a long time I have tried my best
to spread word of Your power.
I know there are many who deserve
Your grace much more than me.
If the places are filled already and I have none,
to Your will I agree.
Just a little space in heaven is all I ask;
I don’t plead for more time.
Your word says clearly, that days are numbered
by Your will, not mine.
So, Lord, if it be Your will
please hear my humble plea.
Now I ask, “ Lord, …
have You saved a place for me?”
