A Raindrop In The Ocean

Soar like an eagle,
for your time is but a raindrop in the ocean,
This day is but a fleeting moment,
sensed briefly by emotion.

Crystal dreams shatter as teardrops,
falling from a frozen place,
To land upon stone while crying,
through endless, timeless space.

Spread wide your feathered wings,
feeling beneath them the wind,
Quickly topping peaks once unreachable,
as silently you ascend.

Look not forward to tomorrow,
as it will never come your way,
For each tomorrow when it appears,
always becomes today.

Your time is but a passing journey,
not meant to endure endlessly,
A life not imprinted indelibly on a tablet,
to last through eternity.

Some heartprints will be left behind,
which swiftly fade away,
To be replaced by other heartprints
and another fleeting day.

Your star sparkled brightly
while your flame of life burned hot,
But alas so quickly dimmed,
your living moment lasted not.

Soar like an eagle,
for your time is but a raindrop in the ocean,
This day is but a fleeting moment,
sensed briefly by emotion.
