A Drop Of Water In Life's Stream

Rushing over pebbles the water moves along. Singing of its journey, what a lonely song.

Watching trees in autumn lose their dried up leaves. Seeing snowflakes falling to cover barren trees.

Ice glistening on their branches as diamonds in the sun. Seeing children sledding, looks like so much fun.

I can never recapture the things that I see. I can only dream of when that kid was me.

A lifetime wasted, nothing left for me to do. All those years were spent before my life was through.

Now I sit in my room looking out as I dream. I'm just a drop of water in life's ever flowing stream.
