Cast The First Stone
Why would you condemn me?
Are you without fault?
Totally clean?
I THINK NOT MY FRIENDS.
Somewhere along life's road you had a fall that soiled.
Maybe through judgement not fully thought out, or
decisions detrimental to your future designs.
Let me be honest in this world and not have to hide
mistakes made in haste. My heart is clean and many
years have passed in goodness and servitude to all
I hold as sacred.
CAN WE NOT CHANGE?
CAN WE NOT BE FORGIVEN?
Think deeply with eyes that see, not hearts that plunge
daggers into one you think as less than yourself.
Walk in another's steps just for a day before you walk
in your steps that came with years of molding, changing
and learning.
I give you a question only you can answer,
Do you feel you are pure enough to cast the first stone?
