Angels Got Their Wings

Over six thousand angels got their wings.

To God they were sent and surely heaven sings.

To have all these new angels join their ranks above.

To cover them with gentle peace and God's pure love.

The ones left here, now have an angel of their own.

One they know and love; they will never be alone.

The way it happened was not the way it should

But now they live in heaven where all things are good.

No pain and suffering will they ever feel up there.

They left it all behind when they climbed that golden stair.

They look down on us and see the way we cry

Because we had to watch all our loved ones die.

Angels have no hurt, they are whole again and free.

God wiped the tears from their eyes and happy they will be.

Each one shines with light and proudly carries wings.

While we wait for the day when we can see these things

Given up to God to live in His perfect paradise.

Yes, He wiped all tears from the new angels' eyes.

We must believe that someday they will join us once more

When we have the chance to walk through heaven's door.

Then families will reunite and heaven will rejoice.

With a song of happiness, sung with an angel's voice.
